MESSAGE FROM THE GSC SMEDCI PRESIDENT (Excerpt from the publication)
Magandang Gensan! Through this year's month-long celebration of YAMAN Gensan—with its roster of capability building and skills training workshops, technology transfer activities, product exhibits, job and trade fairs, and business conferences,
including the Entrepreneurs' Forum and Young Entrepreneurs' Fair, all geared for the city's studentry and partners in education, and most of all the entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs alike—we at the General Santos City Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council, Inc. (GSC SMEDCI) continue to uphold our commitment to promote creative ideas and positive practices for achieving better levels of productivity, competitiveness, and profitablity within the MSME sector in our area. All these activities were carefully planned and designed to spur job creation, entrepreneurship, and investments both by budding entrepreneurs and homegrown businesses.
The GSC SMEDCI lives and shares the dream of a progressive MSME Community in General Santos City. Over the years, through your continued involvement and active support, we are empowered and inspired to remain true to our zeal of forwarding the interests of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), as well as to reassure them that we are their allies as they grow and expand
their businesses.
With this goal in mind, the reality still remains—that much still needs to be done to develop and grow our MSME sector and strengthen its capacity to contribute to local and national economic development. The challenges will always be there along the waye—the hurdles a constant reminder that every difficulty is an opportunity, every misstep is a guide to a new direction. We should not allow those challenges to distract us from how we should think and act. We can either get bitter or get better. The choice is ours to make.
Dreams are free! Real success comes from achieving the desires of your heart. So, with this I quote, "What your mind can dream, your heart must believe, and your hands can achieve."
We thank you so much for being an integral and active part of YAMAN Gensan 2011. We certainly hope to see you all once again
in next year's 10th YAMAN Gensan! Until then, let's keep the entrepreneurial spirit burning!
